2022 Smokescreen Russian River Pinot Noir
RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY
The fruit comes from a vineyard close to the Russian River. The 2022 growing season was a relatively mild and bud break came early in Sonoma. A warm Autumn made for excellent ripeness. Yields were down a little, and both berries and clusters were smaller, which is great for concentration.
TASTING NOTES
The 2022 Russian River Pinot Noir exhibits exceptional balance, and elegance. The 2022 has enticing aromas of blueberry, red raspberry, and black fruits. The first sip is soft with polished tannins and flavors of black berries, black cherry, and black raspberry. There’s a touch of baking spices and a splash of bright acidity in the finish.
