2019 Smokescreen Russian River Pinot Noir
RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY
The fruit comes from a single vineyard close to the river that a prominent producer uses for their estate Pinot Noir. The 2019 vintage was marked by favorable weather conditions, with a mild spring and summer that allowed for even ripening and good flavor development in the grapes. The harvest began in early September and was completed by mid-October, with yields being slightly lower than average.
TASTING NOTES
The 2019 Russian River Pinot Noir exhibits excellent balance, structure, and aging potential. The palate includes vibrant flavors of cherry, raspberry, and blueberry that lead to velvety, smooth subtle tannins, bright acidity and a long, lingering finish.
